BMU Consultancy founded
Founded by Alex and Andrew at a client's request, in response to the high-risk nature of the industry — a specialised Building Maintenance Unit consultancy and project management company.
2022
Tim becomes owner and director
Tim purchases the company, taking on ownership and direction — operating across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

A Building Maintenance Unit — the officially termed form of permanently installed Suspended Access Equipment (SAE): a roof-mounted machine (jib, hoist and suspended cradle) that carries workers down a building's façade for window cleaning, inspection and maintenance. In Australia, BMUs are covered by AS 1418.13.
At the intervals set by the relevant Australian Standards and the manufacturer — typically routine servicing, an annual inspection, and periodic major inspections over the asset's life. We scope, specify and audit these programs for your asset.
No. We are an independent consultancy — we don't sell equipment or hold service contracts, so our advice on design, audits, upgrades and tenders is impartial.
